Common questions
What devices does RUHN™ support?
RUHN™ requires an iPhone running iOS 26.2 or later. Apple Watch is not required but enhances heart rate zone accuracy when paired.
Does RUHN™ work on a treadmill?
Yes. On a treadmill RUHN™ reads your effort from heart rate, from any Bluetooth heart rate monitor that broadcasts standard heart rate (such as Polar, Garmin, Wahoo, COROS, or Scosche) or from Apple Watch with the RUHN™ watch app. Without a heart rate source, RUHN™ still records your time and signal, and reports your effort as not measured.
Does RUHN™ require an internet connection?
No. Missions run offline: all voice audio is rendered in advance and bundled with the app, and RUHN™ syncs and sends nothing of its own while a mission is active. A connection is used at rest for route planning, weather, iCloud sync, and Signal Uplink if you turn it on. During a mission, the map page needs a connection to show map imagery, and Apple Music needs one to stream.
Where is my data stored?
Your data stays on your device, and while Signal Memory is on (it is on by default, and you can turn it off in Settings) your progression, run history, and routes are also kept in a private database in your own iCloud account, which RUHN™ cannot read. RUHN™ has no user accounts. Weather, maps, route planning, and naming the places you run contact Apple or OpenStreetMap with the location that feature uses, and no name or callsign. Signal Uplink, off unless you turn it on, sends a derived summary of a finished run so D.I.A.N.A. can compose an extended analysis. See our privacy policy for details.
How do I reset my progress?
Open Settings (gear icon on HQ) and open Danger Zone near the bottom. Replay Onboarding runs Gate Zero again and keeps your data. Reset Everything clears Gate Zero, your callsign, rank, signal, and mission history on this iPhone; your session logs and saved routes stay. While Signal Memory is on, your progress can return from your private iCloud, so to start over on this iPhone, turn Signal Memory off first, then reset.
Can I use my own music?
Yes. RUHN™ supports Apple Music and any external audio app (Spotify, YouTube Music, podcasts, radio). D.I.A.N.A. automatically lowers external audio when she speaks.
